Part 2 Exercise 2.6

For this exercise I took an old pair of shoes that I use for decorating jobs around the house  and took a variety of close up shots with the lens set at its maximum focal length of 135mm but as close as possible to the subject (less than a foot), again using Aperture Priority, mostly at f/5.6, the widest available, but also some at f/6.3 and f/7.1.  Whilst focusing in each case on just one small part of the shoe (I found the laces a particularly rewarding subject!) I tried to take account of the unfocused parts of the image to build the compositions.

The full set are in the following contact sheet.  I have then selected a handful that I feel work as compositions.

f/5.6, 1/100s

f/7.1, 1/60s

f/5.6, 1/200s

f/5.6, 1/100s

f/5.6, 1/160s
